Enniscorthy
(population 7,640) is a market town on the River Slaney.
It is 20 kilometres north west of Wexford town and 122 kilometres
south of Dublin on the N11.
Attractions
Enniscorthy
Castle, Norman castle dating back to 1205.
Wexford County Museum, which is located in the castle.
The Strawberry Fair harvest festival, which runs from the last
weekend in June to first weekend in July.
Vinegar Hill, to the east of the town, where the rebels of 1798
set up their headquarters.
