Tubbercurry
(population 1,089) is about 30 kilometres south of Sligo on
the N17.
Big events in Tubbercurry are the South
Sligo Summer School, July 15-21, which offers courses and
sessions in traditional music and dance, and the big fair day
on the second Wednesday in August.
There are ten Bord Fáilte registered B&Bs in the
town.
The 9-hole Tubbercurry Golf Course is within walking distance

Transport
There are five Bus Éireann Expressway buses travelling
between Galway and Derry via Sligo that stop at Tubbercurry.
Sligo Airport (+353 71 68280), a few miles west of Sligo at
Strandhill,
has daily flights to Dublin.
