Inis
Oirr
Inis
Oirr is the smallest of the three Islands meaning just 2 miles
by 2 miles. Like her two sister Islands this small peaceful
haven is abundant with history and wildlife. Of particular note
is Cnoc Raithni, a bronze age tumulas some 4000 years old. The
Island also boasts one of the most beautiful beaches in Europe.
There is a hotel, a hostel , a number of bed and breakfasts.
On
Inis Oirr there is also an Island Museum and a local craft shop.
Irish is widely spoke on all the Islands but perhaps more so
on the two smaller ones.
