All bedrooms are tastefully decorated and centrally heated, five of which are en-suite. The Moy Valley, as this region is known, has so much to offer the tourist. Not alone is it renowned as a mecca for angling, but for the ardent golfer there are up to five full-size courses to choose from. The panoramic championship course at Enniscrone, overlooking Killala Bay, is just nine miles from Ballina; whereas in Ballina itself, the golf course there is now regarded as first class. Nestled between two mountain ranges, and surrounded by miles of beautiful beaches and rugged coastline with some of the most magnificent and breathtaking scenery to be witnessed anywhere in Ireland, the Moy Valley is rich in history. Kingfisher Lodge is situated just 300 Mts. from the world famous River Moy and is an ideal base from which all anglers can pursue their favorite pastime, be it river, lake or sea. The River Moy is renowned for it's prolific runs of spring, summer and autumn fish and has an average annual catch to rod and line of over 7,000 salmon. For trout fishing there are excellent stocks of wild brown trout in both Lough's Conn and Cullen. Your host Kevin, a keen angler himself for more than twenty years, will only be delighted to introduce you to your favorite form of fishing. Kevin will arrange all the necessary bookings you may require and secure the correct permits. Gillie service is available on request, as well as boat and engine hire. |
